Founded in 1996, Square One is based in Bray, near Dublin, and is a trade-only distributor of audio visual products and printing solutions to AV dealers, IT resellers and the Office Supply channel.
In 2009, Square One was acquired by The Midwich Group. Established in 1979, The Group is a specialist Audio Visual (AV), professional video, film, broadcast, lighting and Document Solutions distributor to the trade markets, proudly operating across nine countries, including; the UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Australia and New Zealand. The Group’s 650+ strong team operate out of 14 offices, are dedicated to continually enhancing the technical expertise, building extensive product knowledge and delivering strong customer service.

WEEE & Batteries
Battery Recycling: As part of our commitment to ensure batteries are disposed of responsibly after use, the following free of charge option is available. Waste batteries can be returned free of charge to a local authority facility or our premises at Square One Distribution Limited, Unit 9 Bray South Business Park, Killarney Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow, provided the batteries are the equivalent type sold by us.
Why we take recycling of batteries seriously: Some household batteries contain chemicals like lead, mercury or cadmium. If batteries are disposed of in your normal waste bin, they are likely to end up in landfill. When the batteries are put into landfill they start to breakdown and can leak some of the chemicals into the ground. This can cause soil and water pollution, which may lead to health risks. Recycling avoids this and can also recover some of the raw materials used for making batteries. These can be used to make other products. The result of recycling means we can save some of the planets resources by reducing the need to mine new materials.
WEEE Recycling: Customers wishing to dispose of B2C waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) when it reaches the end of its life, can do so for free of charge on a one-for-one, like for like basis by informing customer services when ordering a new product. Square One will also notify you 24 hours in advance of delivery. If the end of life product is not available for collection when the new product is delivered, we will arrange for it to be collected within 15 days of delivery of your new product.
Please contact Square One at the number below for enquires about the return of B2B WEEE. Please note that B2B WEEE is not subject to one for one / like for like purchase, nor is there an associated restrictive timeframe.
Returned End of Life WEEE (both B2C and B2B) are sent to an authorised treatment facility where they will be treated and disposed of in an environmentally sound way. Alternatively, you can take the item to our premises at Square One Distribution Limited, Unit 9 Bray South Business Park, Killarney Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow. You can also take B2C WEEE items to your local authority civic amenity facility who take back B2C WEEE free of charge.
Price of electrical items includes a contribution to recycling costs.

All WEEE (both B2C & B2B) and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in your waste disposal or recycling bins.
